Testpage for PostScript PrintersThe PS-printer quality testpage is a Postscript file that execises your Postscript printer in a number of ways with regards to quality. You can use it to check the quality of the printer, compare different printers, and detect various defects. I find it useful to check the quality of the printer over time, by saving a printout of the testpage, and then compare it to printouts taken later. Thus I can monitor if the quality of a printer over time. In order to learn how to use this testpage and in particular how to interpret the results, the simplest thing is to print it on a handfull of printers (preferably varying models or producers). By studying the differences in the output, you will get a I wrote it a few years ago, when I needed procedures to test and evaluate the quality of different printers. I make the code freely available under the GPL, in hope that it may prove useful to others. Please report bugs, problems, comments, suggestions etc by email to
